Statement of Intent
Our intent in Primary Computing at Kington St. Michael is to inspire children to be confident, creative, and safe users of technology. Our curriculum prepares children to use technology confidently and responsibly, giving them skills that will support future learning and opportunities. Children are encouraged to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills through coding and computational tasks, for example, using Micro:bits, to bring their ideas to life. We want pupils to see themselves as digital creators who can design, innovate and collaborate effectively. Our teaching promotes resilience and responsibility, with online safety and the role of our Digital Leaders at the heart of the curriculum. Above all, our goal is to nurture curiosity and confidence so all pupils leave primary school ready to flourish in an ever-changing digital.
