What an amazing effort from our eco-heroes! Armed with high-vis jackets, litter pickers, and huge smiles, the children set out to make Kington St Michael village and Cepen Park estate sparkle — and they certainly delivered!
With the help of Wiltshire Council, who kindly lent the litter-picking kits, families were able to join in safely and make a real difference to our local environment. Sponsored by generous friends and family, the children raised an incredible £130 through their hard work and determination!
Bag after bag of rubbish was collected — some even sorted for recycling — proving how small hands can make a big impact. The litter pick quickly turned into a real-life treasure hunt, with exciting “discoveries” like a tiny TV, a lonely shoe, and even bedsheets! You never know what you’ll find when you care for your community!
A huge round of applause to the lucky winner of the delicious homemade flapjacks!
Massive thanks to Wiltshire Council, all the brilliant children and parents who took part, and our wonderful sponsors who helped make this event such a success. Together, we’ve cleaned up our community — and had a fun doing it!
