Statement of Intent
The Intent of our music curriculum aims to foster a lifelong love of music, develop musical skills (singing, playing, composing and listening), build confidence and creativity, and to encourage an appreciation for diverse cultures through all types of music.
Through regular exposure to diverse and exciting example, children will be encouraged to listen, question, compose, compare and improve what they hear. Through high quality performances and recordings, children will be engaged and inspired to develop a love of music and improve their musical talents in order increase their own self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.
