Our House System

Our House System

At KSM, every child is welcomed into one of our four historic houses: Saxons, Vikings, Tudors or Romans. The house system is at the heart of our school community and helps create a strong sense of belonging, teamwork and pride.

Throughout the week, children can earn house points for showing our school values, trying their best, being kind and helpful, and celebrating personal achievements. Each week during assembly, the running totals are revealed and a ribbon in the house colour is tied onto the House Trophy – a highlight the children always look forward to!

Sports Day brings all the excitement of the house system to life. Children compete for their house, cheering each other on and working together to gain as many points as they can. It is one of the most energetic and joyful days in the school year.

At the end of the summer term, all of the points collected across the year are added together and the overall winning house is announced. The champions enjoy a special treat and the honour of lifting the House Cup – a proud moment for everyone involved.
